The Lesson of Artificial Intelligence IV: AI isn't the dog you're looking for...
There'll always be people wanted for jobs, no matter how good AI gets – managers can be unpleasant to an AI, but they can't subjugate it; AI doesn't have the psychological satisfaction of being unreasonable to another human that is the secret savour of so many managers, and no amount of profit will make up for that.1
Notes:
1 I'd say people are more embarrassed about abusing an AI as they suspect someone is listening, whereas, in 90% of workplaces I've worked in, bad managerial behaviour is completely ignored.
